The training week held from October 14 to 18 in Prague. Concluded with great success after following an intense agenda led by specialized psychologists from Dr. Carlos Chiclana’s team. This proyect has enabled participants to acquire key pedagogical tools to address sex education in the classroom in an effective and respectful way.

  • The first day was dedicated to the introduction of sexuality education, its pedagogical models and methodological principles. In addition, the different gender models and the appropriate language to deal with sexuality issues were discussed. The sessions focused on the stages of development from infancy to pre-adolescence, providing educators with practical tools to teach these topics.
  • The second day addressed general aspects of sexuality, gender equality and evolutionary development, with a special focus on adolescence. Participants discussed body and psychological changes, healthy relationships and techniques for dealing with self-image and beauty standards in the classroom.
  • The third day focused on new technologies and pornography, exploring associated risks such as cyberbullying and pornography addiction. Pedagogical strategies to prevent sexual abuse and violence in relationships were also addressed.
  • The fourth day was dedicated to love and affective relationships, as well as the construction of personal and sexual identity in different social and family contexts. Educators acquired tools to teach about the different forms of love, attraction and effective communication in relationships.
  • Finally, the last day was dedicated to the ethics of sexuality, addressing topics such as consent, shared well-being and diversity. Methods for instilling ethical values in sex education were discussed, concluding with a reflection on the importance of this type of training in the integral development of young people.

This program has been successfully completed with the support of Siena Educación – publisher of the MAGISTERIO newspaper – and the clinical advice of Gabinete Dr. Carlos Chiclana.

Throughout these days, educators have shared knowledge and experiences, creating a space for international collaboration around sexuality education in the classroom.

The participants were very positive about the content of the program and the practical approach of the sessions, highlighting the enriching debate that was generated among educators from the three countries. With this successful closing, the “SEED” project advances towards its goal of improving sex education in Europe, breaking biases and promoting inclusive and respectful teaching.
