  How do you handle controversial questions from students?

  Sometimes students ask questions that surprise us—about gender identity, online pornography, consent, or relationships.
  – How do you respond in the moment?
  – Do you feel comfortable answering spontaneously, or do you postpone and prepare a better response later?
  – What boundaries or guidelines do you set (e.g. “I’ll look into this and we’ll revisit it in class”)?
